讲座人介绍：

曹攀于2008年本科毕业于亚博足彩机电工程学院机械设计制造及自动化专业，2011年硕士毕业于同校电子工程学院信号与信息处理专业，研究生期间在雷达信号处理国家重点实验室研究和学习雷达探测及成像。2015年博士毕业于德国德累斯顿工业大学电子工程系，获优秀工学博士学位。2015-2017年，在英国爱丁堡大学和美国普林斯顿大学从事5G通信方向博士后研究，自2017年起任英国赫特福德大学高级讲师。

曹博士当前的主要研究方向为无线通信中的信号处理，毫米波通信，定位，感知和通信一体化。曾获得两次国际会议最佳论文奖和高通创新奖。曾参与和主持多项欧盟项目，其中在2022年获得的欧盟地平线计划第一批6G旗舰项目中，领导太赫兹通信中的定位，感知与通信一体化研究任务。目前任IEEE通信学会无线电通信委员会感知和通信一体化的兴趣小组副主席，EURASIP Journal of Wireless Communication and Networking副编辑。

讲座内容：

As wireless communication networks are expanding rapidly with aid of modern digital technologies, all things are being connected seamlessly with the aid of ubiquitous radio waves. Radio waves during the transmission experience wireless channel that varies with both propagation environment and occupied spectrum, thereby resulting in various channel features. Traditionally, wireless channels are only used for link budget design for the communication purpose. However, in fact, more information contained in the wireless channel could be retrieved and utilized for the potentials of , e.g., sensing objects and environment. This talk will address some roles of wireless channel beyond communications.
