讲座人介绍：

王革是亚博足彩2系772班毕业生, 美国伦斯勒理工学院讲座教授和生物医学影像中心主任 (https://faculty.rpi.edu/ge-wang)。他于1991年发表了第一个螺旋锥束CT方法以及后续许多相关论文。目前每年世界上有大约两亿次医学CT扫描，其中多数采用这种扫描模式。他于2016年提出了深度断层成像路线图，并与他的合作者发表了一系列关于不同深度成像问题的论文和专利。他获得了多种奖项，包括今年IEEE R1杰出教学奖和IEEE生物医学工程学会学术生涯成就奖。他发表了500多篇杂志论文并作多次大会演讲，包括今年SPIE光学光子学大会演讲。他的研究成果在自然, 科学, 美国国家科学院院刊和新闻媒体上都有报道。他是IEEE、SPIE、AAPM、OSA、AIMBE、AAAS 会士和美国国家发明家科学院院士 (National Academy of Inventors) 。

讲座内容：

Computed tomography (CT) is a corner stone of modern medicine. After an x-ray beam goes through an object, the intensity is measured to approximate a line integral of attenuation coefficients along the path. Various line integrals carry information on internal structures of the object. CT is about image reconstruction from x-ray data, which are collected during a scan from various orientations with a source-detector assembly. The CT scan has evolved from the simplest parallel-beam geometry to current mainstream spiral cone-beam geometry and is under rapid evolution in the deep learning framework. Our storyline is developed to cover key ideas, recent results, and future opportunities.
